TRIP DESCRIPTION
Five days of continuous rock climbing in the Scottish Highlands with one of the most experienced all round climbers in the country. If you are new to the sport or have a particular tick list, then this may suit you. Scotland's multi-pitch mountain routes rank among the very best in the UK and five days is plenty time to enjoy several of the finest, be it in Glen Coe, the Cairngorms, or Skye.

ITINERARY
Day 1 Basic warm-up day on routes with easy access to make use of time and build on previous experiences. Technical ropework instruction suitable for following days.

Day 2 Mountain rock climbing. Granite in the sun over in the Loch A'an Basin. Classic 200m routes such as Auld Nick (Severe) and Clean Sweep (Very Severe) or harder may be ascended on the South facing Hell's Lum crag.

Day 3 Just under an hour from Aviemore, the Laggan side classic, Ardverikie Wall offers easier multi-pitch rock at its very best. Fortress Direct at Hard VS ups the anti abit too!

Day 4 Creag Dubh is one of the more demanding outcrops in Scotland with routes up to 150m in length, its unrelenting steepness often deters, combined with the lack of easier grades. Tree-hee (S), King Bee (VS), Inbred (HVS) and The Hill (E2) offer all that is great about Creag Dubh and not too difficult with the rope above.

Day 5 Perhaps a day at the Dubh Loch for Black Mamber (VS) (300m) or The Needle on the Shelter Stone (E1) (300m). There is a big choice, weather permitting.
