ALPS . SUMMER . CLIMBING
Mountaineering and climbing in the Alps opens up a wonderful world. Whether you have experience at home or not there are challenges for you at all levels. Allow me to introduce you to lofty peaks, long winding glaciers, alpine ridges and sun baked granite.
If your already active, then maybe a grand course , an ice face or 20 pitch rock route may be an option!

ALPINE CLIBMER A 5 day intermediate alpine course suitable for climbers with some alpine routes under their belts already. If you're comfortable on climbs of severe or above and keen to transfer this into an alpine arena, then here is your answer. (Read on for the extended 10 day trip.)

TRIP DESCRIPTION
Mobility is the key to being successful in the Alps. Going where the best weather and conditions dictate. Starting in Chamonix, we will concentrate to start with on your techniques and build you to higher routes. Then off to Switzerland for some big classics.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Rock route in the Aiguille Rouge of maybe ten pitches, south facing in the sun.
Day 2 Move to Switzerland. Walk to Wiwanni Hut above Visp.
Day 3 Ascend the Steinadler Route, 400m, 5+, to summit of Wiwanni Horn (3,001m), a great uncluttered summit, narrow rock ridge descent back to hut then down to the valley. Use uplift in late afternoon to gain hut at Hoh Saas above Saas Grund.
Day 4 South ridge of Lagginhorn (AD) to descend the normal route to Kreuzboden. Stay in a hotel in Saas Grund.
Day 5 Take a train up to 3500m above Saas Fee to tackle the north east spur of the Allalinhorn (AD+ on ice). Then descend the normal route back to Saas Fee and onto Chamonix.
ALPINE CLIBMER (Days 6-10) A natural extension to the five day intermediate course is to continue climbing the following week, already acclimatised, you are in great shape for the highest peaks.
Day 6-10 Choice of routes and objectives will include the 'Alpine Greats', suchas the Dent Blanche, the Weisshorn, Lenspitz and Piz Badile.
